Abstract

Picky Eater in toddlers is characterized by behaviors such as choosing certain foods, limiting food variations, and refusing
to try new foods, which can affect nutritional status. Limited caregiver knowledge can exacerbate this condition. Health education delivered
through the audiovisual platform TikTok represents an innovative and accessible approach. Methods: This study used a pre-experimental
design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest approach, which was conducted in the working area of the Parang Health Center, Magetan Regency
between March and May 2026. A total of 43 caregivers of toddlers aged 1-5 years with malnutrition were selected using simple random
sampling. Knowledge of picky eating was assessed using a 20-item questionnaire before and after TikTok's audiovisual education
intervention, which was administered twice a day for three consecutive days. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test.
Results: Before the intervention, 69.8% of caregivers had good knowledge, while 30.2% had reasonable knowledge. After the intervention,
all caregivers (100%) showed good knowledge. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test yielded a p value of <0.001 (Z = -3.606), indicating a
significant effect of TikTok's audiovisual education on caregiver knowledge. Conclusion: TikTok audiovisual education is effective in
increasing caregivers' knowledge about picky eating in toddlers. This medium serves as an engaging, interactive, and accessible alternative
to health promotion, helping to improve caregivers' understanding of healthy eating habits for young children
